End of Term Concert News

We finally have a venue booked for our end of term concert on December 2nd:

Leybourne Park,
Kew
TW9 3HB

The venue is on the corner of Leybourne Park and Mortlake Road and is easily accessible by bus (65 and 391), train (Kew Gardens Station), and car (parking is unrestricted, but please note that it is on a one way street, and must be accessed by the Kew Gardens Road end).

The concert will start at 7.30pm, and admission is...as usual...free.

Is your concert on 9 December, or as it says on the left of the blog page, on 2 December? Hint: I can come if it's on the 9th...

Sorry...but the concert is on December 2nd.
We had to start our term a week earlier than originally planned, so the concert has ended up being really early this year. I'll get Heather to check with you before we book next term's concert :0)

I don't know how to post something on the site, except by leaving a comment but I think it needs saying that our concert was SUPERB, as was the venue. Especially satisfying was getting 'The Great Gate of Kiev' right...at last! Thank you to everyone, principally Helen.

I'm just writing a post about the concert...even have some photos to add!

Is the Broken Consort playing together again now that Covid is over?
If anyone remembers Dermot, I am his sister and would love to hear from you.
Thanks,
Moira

Hi Moira,
Yes, the Broken Consort is still together (I just stopped updating the blog some time ago, as there was little to no engagement in it)...we never stopped, and met weekly on Zoom during the lockdowns to play along with recordings on our YouTube Channel. We are now back meeting in person at Drayton Manor High School as before, and have welcomed some new members.
I remember Dermot, and so will many of the group who were there during the time that Dermot was a member.
You didn't leave any way of contacting you, so please feel free to get in touch with me (Helen) via: helenbrammer@hotmail.com
I will also post this comment as a separate post in case you come back to the blog's home page.
